A festival of travel with TAAG Angola Airlines

18 Aug 2022
Havana, Cuba.

One of the ways TAAG Angola Airlines is celebrating the resumption of its international flights has been to boost its European routes with newly introduced thrice-weekly flights to vibrant and exciting Madrid.  This has successfully opened other gateways within Spain and beyond with connections managed internally through codeshare partner, Iberia.

“We are very excited about adding this new Madrid route to our list of international destinations and are offering agents some amazing introductory offers and consistent savings on fares as well as increased frequency of flights.”

Outbound flights leave Luanda on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, with return flights from Madrid departing on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. With total flying time of 12,5 hours, and the option to depart from Johannesburg (JNB) or Cape Town (CPT), these flights are an excellent way to travel into the hub of Europe.

For passengers travelling on business from South Africa to Nigeria, TAAG has recently reintroduced twice-weekly flights to Lagos (via Luanda), and is offering amazing fares for one of the best routes available between the two countries.

The longstanding daily flight to Luanda from Johannesburg is also back in full swing, as are the five flights a week to Angola from Cape Town, connecting on to Lisbon.

Another extremely popular destination is Brazil, and TAAG boasts one of the quickest and cheapest options when travelling to São Paulo from South Africa with its three times per week flights. Booking for São Paulo has never been easier or more affordable!

Havana, Cuba, has always been a popular destination from South Africa, albeit a long distance, so TAAG has now introduced a far more direct route. From November, TAAG will fly out of South Africa via Luanda on November 8 and 22, and return on November 10 and 24 from Havana. December and January will see the frequency increased to flights every Tuesday out of South Africa and every Thursday from Havana.

As part of its ongoing commitment to ensure that passengers receive the best in comfort and reliability, the airline has recently ordered six new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, which will be delivered in phases starting in 2023.

The new aircraft will bolster the fleet and offer the range and flexibility to cover intra-African and intercontinental markets with state-of-the-art efficiency.
