Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) has announced the establishment of an AI Centre of Excellence, a brand-new global division that will focus on promoting, adopting, training and integrating artificial intelligence technology into the company’s corporate divisions.

The previous Global Chief Technology Officer of FCM Digital, Adrian Lopez, will be the Head of AI for Corporate and will lead a team of technical experts who will pursue the corporation’s vision for AI to be integrated within the organisation.

The specialised team will implement new practices, and provide research, support and training around AI, to improve efficiency, productivity, workflow and driving value to new clients. Additionally, they will find ways to seamlessly integrate AI into the operations of the company’s business travel division, Corporate Traveller, and FCM.

Through the newly launched AI Centre of Excellence, FCTG intends to strengthen the relationship between the human workforce and hands-on AI applications.
