Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are expected to launch the pilot phase of the unified tourist visa by the end of this year, according Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council.
In an Interview with UAE news agency WAM, he said the unified tourist visa would allow visitors access to all six GCC countries: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait, on a single visa.
In June, the GCC single tourist visa received approval and was expected to be rolled out soon. It will begin with a pilot stage with full implementation expected at a later stage.
Further details regarding the GCC Grand Tourist Visa have not yet been disclosed.
