Ghana is one step closer to establishing a national airline after a business model and operational framework were submitted by the task force set up by the Ministry of Transport to oversee the project.
At a Parliament meeting, the Minister of Transport Joseph Bukari Nikpe said the task force had made significant progress and that the government would begin engaging potential private partners, reported local publication Joy Online.
Timelines will only be announced once the Ministry has met with all private-sector partners that have expressed interest.
In April, Ghana’s Ministry of Transport partnered with the World Aviation Group to assist with the process, and in May they developed a task force to oversee plans for the new airline.
