Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife issued an update via Twitter at 17h00 yesterday, November 21, concerning the situation on the road to Giant’s Castle Reserve.

“Protests outside Giants Castle Nature Reserve have been resolved. It is now safe to enter the Resort,” read the Twitter post.

Yesterday, according to KZN Tourism,  visitors to the Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife Giant’s Castle Resort in the Mahlutshini area were advised to delay their trip until further notice as the road to the resort was blocked by community members protesting against the lack of job opportunities.
