THE HAHN Air Group
has launched Hahn Air
Technologies, which
will focus on alternative
distribution for airlines,
including the NDC.
Hahn Air Technologies’ first
product offering is X1-Air. In
addition to the H1 airline code
that Hahn uses to distribute
various airline flights in the
GDS, airlines that sign up for
the X1-Air product will now
have flights distributed through
Hahn’s new X1 airline code,
allowing them to be the first to
participate in new technologies
that the group is exploring.
X1-Air gives airlines with
limited or no indirect
distribution (such as agent
distribution) connectivity
through various sales
channels. Aside from
interfaces with major GDSs,
X1-Air includes scheduling, fare
filing, messaging, inventory
management, booking,
ticketing and settlement. It has
interfaced with Amadeus and
Sabre. The group says more
GDSs will be added to the
service in the near future.
The first airlines to use the
X1-Air product are Air Panama,
ASL Airlines France, Azur Air
Ukraine, Jam Airlink Express,
Mayair, Ulendo Airlink, Westair
Aviation and Wildcat Touring.
These airlines now display
in Amadeus and Sabre, with
Travelport coming soon.
Hahn Air Technologies would
also serve as an innovation
centre for the Hahn Air Group
to explore new distribution
channels such as NDC,
blockchain-based providers
and mobile solutions, the
group said in a statement.
The group recently unveiled
its NDC platform. Airlines can
make use of this new platform,
“saving time, money and
resources needed to develop
their own individual solutions”,
the group said. Travel agents
can connect to the platform
through a simple once-off
implementation that will
give them access to Hahn’s
multiple partner airlines. Hahn
Air received its Iata Level 3
NDC certification in October.
