Hilton partners with Netflix

Hilton, in collaboration with Netflix now allows guests to stream their Netflix series, movies and more on in-room televisions in its Connected Rooms.

Customers with an already existing Netflix account can simply press the remote’s ‘Netflix’ button, which switches on the TV and goes directly to the Netflix login screen. Alternatively, guests could download the HHonors app on their mobile phones then add Netflix and other streaming media providers and TV channels to their list of ‘favorites’ for easy access.

Guests without a Netflix account will be able to sign up in their room and start watching immediately.

The Connected Room platform ensures a guest’s login information stays secure and clears automatically on check-out.

“We know our guests want to feel connected while traveling, just as they do at home, so we’re giving them seamless access to their favourite Netflix shows, films and specials while on the road,” said Noelle Eder, Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer for Hilton.

Hilton currently has more than 1 800 Connected Rooms, and plans to roll out the technology to tens of thousands of rooms across the US this year and to the first non-US locations.
