Iberia has revealed plans to grow its network, with eight new destinations to be introduced gradually throughout the year. The airline will also up its capacity on already operative routes, as well as introduce new aircraft to its fleet.
The new destinations are Oslo and Bergen in Norway; Genoa, Bari and Verona in Italy; Bastia in Corsica; and Zadar in Croatia.
Iberia has also increased frequencies on current routes. Madrid, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Budapest, Florence, Hamburg, Athens and Marrakech go from daily flights to 11 weekly frequencies during the summer season. Dakar will see an increase in capacity from August, with three additional frequencies per week.
The airline will also receive four A350-900 aircraft to operate the Madrid-Buenos Aires route from the end of February and the Madrid-Chicago route from May, in addition to five A320Neo aircraft.
