With immediate effect, foreign travellers to India are required fill out an online e-Arrival card within 72 hours before their arrival.
The previous system required visitors to fill in physical cards on arrival either on their flight or in the immigration hall.
Travel details such as passport number, nationality, purpose of visit (tourist, business, medical, and study), address in India, length of stay, and countries visited in the last six days may be required.
The forms can be completed at indianvisaonline.gov.in or via the ‘Indian Visa Su-Swagatam’ mobile app.
