Indonesia implemented new regulations for foreign travellers applying for visa extensions on May 29.
Foreign nationals in Indonesia must register and upload the required documents online through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, the same website used for e-visa on arrival applications. After completing the online registration, applicants must go to an immigration office to be interviewed and have their photo taken.
The application for an extension applies to stay permits and applicants holding a visa on arrival.
Previously, tourists could extend their e-visa on arrival, and other visa categories, online.
