The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) is monitoring Jet A-1 fuel supply challenges at Hosea Kutako International Airport.
Last week, NAC said it was working with fuel suppliers, government authorities, airlines and other aviation stakeholders to manage the situation and minimise disruptions to airport operations, according The Namibian.
Airport operations are continuing, with contingency measures under consideration if needed.
According to Reuters, Discover Airlines said flights from Windhoek to Frankfurt and Munich were being rerouted via Angola to refuel.
The airline cited operational problems at fuel supplier Vitol rather than shortages because of the Middle East conflict, after a shipment of fuel failed routine quality testss.
