Lack of new entrants

Consultants in the Western Cape
are by far the most experienced
of the three busiest provinces,
but the province also suffers
from the most critical shortage of
new entrants.
Non-commission-earning agents
in Gauteng, with considerably less
experience than the Cape, earn a
similar, slightly higher, basic salary.
Only KZN has a healthy intake of
new travel agents. 22% of
KZN agents have less than two
years experience. That percentage
is 81% higher than Western Cape’s
12,1%.
