LIFT diversifies distribution

LIFT has recently completed direct integration with retail travel giant, Tourvest Travel Services.

According to a release from the airline, this newly added distribution channel looks set to unlock corporate and government business for the airline.

"We are very excited to partner with the LIFT team, who between them have many years of commercial airline experience and a unique business model. The LIFT IT systems and support structures are excellent and meet our technology requirements to manage the complex business processes required by large corporations, including online bookings, workflow approvals and ticketing. LIFT’s support of virtual card payments through its wallet technology, along with hassle-free online ticket changes, provide our users with the flexibility required to travel in these uncertain times," said Philip Katz, Tourvest ceo.

In more news from the carrier, Smart Shopper members who book a LIFT flight online or in-store at any Pick n Pay nationwide, will now treble the loyalty points they earn on the transaction. Smart Shopper customers can use their points when flying with LIFT and can spend these as real cash-back when shopping with Pick n Pay or with Smart Shopper partners. “We aspire to be a disruptive, innovative and loved South African brand and have chosen like-minded brands to partner with,” said Jonathan Ayache, LIFT ceo.

In another loyalty programme deal, LIFT has also joined the eBucks partner ecosystem, and customers who book with eBucks Travel and LIFT can get up to 40% off, making travel that much easier.

LIFT has also become the official domestic carrier of Team SA’s athletes, following a partnership with SASCOC, for both the returning Olympian athletes and the Paralympians who will compete at the Tokyo Games from August 24.

LIFT is giving its customers 10% cashback into their Lift Wallet, if they book and travel before August 31, 2021.
