Lufthansa is to introduce flights to three new European destinations from Munich ahead of the Northern summer season.

Trondheim in Norway

The route will be served twice weekly from April 28. On Thursdays and Sundays Flight LH2426 departs from Munich at 14h00 and arrives at Trondheim at 16h50. Return flight LH2427, on the same days, departs from Trondheim at 17h30 and arrives in Munich at 20h20.

Trondheim, once the Viking capital of Norway, is the country’s third-largest city and is home to five-star restaurants, luxury hotels, the northernmost Gothic cathedral in Europe, and a variety of cultural and academic events.

Nantes in France

Flights to Nantes will be operated three times a week from April 28. Flight LH2242 is operated by Air Baltic on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Return flight LH2243 operates on the same days.

Nantes is one of the largest cities in France and was initially the biggest slavery port in the country but now holds this history in its museums and architecture. The city features an Opera House, chateaux of old dignitaries, and a selection of cultural and artistic experiences.

Oulu in Finland

Oulu will be served twice a week during the Northern summer season. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, flight LH2490 will depart from Munich at 12h10 and arrive in Oulu at 16h15. Return flight LH2491 will operate on Tuesdays and Sundays, departing from Oulu at 17h05 and arriving in Munich at 19h10.

Oulu, the origin of the air guitar, is nominated as the European Capital of Culture 2026, due to its culture of creativity and nature. Home to swamps, forests, icebergs and a city, the summer season allows for water activities and adventures in nature. Furthermore, the city boasts museums, historic sites and monuments, galleries, parks, quaint cafés and technology-focused attractions.
