LUX dives into wellness

LUX Resorts has announced a collaboration with Olympian swimmer Emma Igelström to bring wellness experiences to the LUX South Ari Atoll in Maldives.

The Maldivian resort will host the Olympian for an exclusive wellness weekend from September 20 to September 22 and guests will be able to participate in activities curated by Igelström. The activities are complimentary for all guests staying at the resort at the time.

The activities will cater for all fitness levels and range from beginner-friendly swim classes, mobility sessions, informative wellness talks and relaxation practices. The resort will also host a beach aquathlon for families.

Igelström has won five World Championships and 12 European Championships and has set seven world records for breaststroke. She is an advocate for health and wellness and has founded swimming academies across the world and published books on her story.

The programme for the weekend is as follows:

  • September 20: Swim class for all levels (morning); meditation and breath work class (afternoon)
  • September 21: Mobility class (morning); family beach aquathlon (afternoon)
  • September 22: Swim for Wellness talk (morning); relaxation class (afternoon)
