Maldives reopens to tourists

The Maldives will open its borders and lift all travel restrictions from July 15, according to a tweet from the Ministry of Tourism.

The Ministry says tourists must submit a health declaration form on arrival but a health certificate will not be necessary to enter the country. Travellers with COVID-19 symptoms will be tested on arrival, and random testing will be conducted at airports.

Resorts, live-aboards and hotels on uninhabited islands will reopen from July 15, and guest houses and hotels on inhabited islands will reopen from August 1.
