In the TNW dated October 17, TNW reported on Mango flight delays.
Mango's response to agent's concerns is published in full below.
Mango has no interlining agreements with international airlines. This means that should passengers be delayed on Mango and miss an international flight, we cannot be held responsible.
In all our communications with our Guests we advise that our passengers ensure that they have additional time between domestic and international flights, should an unforeseen delay take place.
We can confirm that on Friday 05 October Mango experienced delays due to inclement weather at both Lanseria and OR Tambo airport. In the interest of passenger safety the aircraft were delayed until it was safe enough to take-off and land. On Sunday 07 October, the baggage conveyor belt at OR Tambo airport (operated by ACSA) experienced technical issues. This in-turn impacted on Mango flight operations and luggage being delayed. The matter was escalated to ACSA, and to solve the problem, Mango couriered luggage to approximately 35 passengers around Gauteng.
Mango apologises for the inconvenience caused to all its much-valued Guests.
