Mauritius is hosting the 66th United Nations World Tourism Organization Commission of Africa Meeting, being held from July 26 to 28.
The meeting is taking place at Le Méridien Ile Maurice in Grande Pointe aux Piments, and focuses on the theme ‘Rethinking Tourism for Africa: Promoting Investment and Partnerships; Addressing Global Challenges.
The meeting, which includes a conference and technical workshops, is hosting African Tourism Ministers and stakeholders in the industry, using the UNWTO Regional Commission for Africa, a major institutional platform, to discuss the latest global and continental trends and how to implement their initiatives.
The Commission of Africa Meeting is one of UNWTO’s annual events. This is the second time that Mauritius is hosting the CAF Meeting.
