The journey towards a second chance for South Africa’s vultures was captured on film, involving over 50 people and over 18 hours. In the largest relocation of vultures ever undertaken, the committee of more than 160 majestic Cape and African White-backed vultures were transported towards a promising future in their new home, the Shamwari Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape.

The protection of the game reserve will not only safeguard the future of vulnerable vulture populations but also restore the indigenous ecosystem of the 250sqkm reserve through the reintroduction of the species.
