Monday Smile: easyJet gets kids off to a flying start

EasyJet is offering free access to language-learning e-books on board its entire network, after uncovering that 82% of British parents are concerned their children have missed out on exposure to other cultures due to foreign travel restrictions.

While 89% of British children say they would like to learn a foreign language with easy-to-digest methods of learning, 90% of their parents believe that speaking a second language is vital to childhood development.

Thus, easyJet has brought back its Flybraries initiative, in the form of free introductory access to the Mizzi Mozzi digital book series.

Children can now access 84 different titles written in seven European languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Greek and English) by scanning the QR codes on the seatbacks in front of them on any easyJet flight. The first two books are free, but parents will need to pay to read more.
