An estimated one million people are expected to pass through OR Tambo International Airport this upcoming festive season, and so the airport has made arrangements to accommodate the upcoming rise in demand for parking.
"We have repurposed Parkade 2 North to accommodate more cars and alleviate the pressure at the central pick-up point in Parkade 2 South," says Acsa Regional GM, Jabulani Khambule. “The variety of parking areas we have available within the airport are designed to cater for the various needs of our travellers, clients and customers.
“These parking areas can all be used for the pick-up and drop-off of travellers or airport users. Travellers are warned not to exceed the allocated grace period and, should they do so, then the normal parking tariffs will apply,” adds Khambule.
