Morukuru Family has reopened Morukuru Ocean House in De Hoop Nature Reserve, Cape Agulhas, following refurbishment and expansion that has increased the exclusive-use property from four to five bedrooms.
The coastal retreat can now accommodate up to 10 adults and two children under 16. The new east-facing fifth bedroom includes air conditioning, a private terrace and outdoor shower.
Living areas have also been expanded with the existing lounge extended to include a dedicated TV room and library. A second rooftop terrace has been added on the western side of the upstairs bar as a dedicated sunset viewing area.
The children’s room has also been updated with two single beds.
“Morukuru Ocean House has always been somewhere special. A place where families come to truly exhale. This refurbishment is about honouring that feeling while elevating every detail of the experience,” said Ed Zeeman, Co-Founder and Co-owner of Morukuru Family.
Morukuru Ocean House will continue to operate on an exclusive-use basis. Rates remain unchanged despite the addition of the fifth bedroom and other enhancements.
Trade partners should also note that the minimum stay requirement at Morukuru Family De Hoop during the 2027 peak season has been revised to three nights.
