MSC Cruises has announced that MSC World Asia, the cruise line’s new flagship vessel, will embark on its inaugural sailing on December 4 from Barcelona.
The ship’s maiden voyage includes a seven-night itinerary, with port calls in Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia, Naples and Valetta.
The cabin interiors feature design elements inspired by Asia’s culture, art and landscapes. There are more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants on board, as well as seven pools and 13 hot tubs.
Alongside entertainment, experiences include:
- The Cliffhanger – an overwater swing ride that propels riders back and forth, 50 metres above the ocean.
- The Spiral @ Tree of Life – an 81-metre dry slide that spans 11 decks.
- The Twin Racer & U Drop Waterslides – a twin-racer waterslide and U Drop slide.
- Adventure Trail Ropes Course – a two-level ropes course suspended above the ocean and featuring a zip line.
- The MSC Formula Race – a two-seat racing simulator.
- The MSC Luna Park Arena – an interactive digital arena where guests can enjoy game shows, including code breakers, labyrinth and chart toppers.
“Our World Class ships have been a great success with guests, and MSC World Asia, the third of eight in this class, marks the next step in this journey,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises.
