MSC Cruises and Fincantieri have cut the first steel of MSC Seashore, the first of two MSC Cruises Seaside EVO ships currently on order at Fincantieri.
The ship, which accommodates 5 632 guests and is scheduled for delivery mid-2021, will feature an additional lounge; an enhanced MSC Yacht Club covering three forward decks; speciality restaurants; more whirlpools across the ship; and 200 additional cabins, as well as larger public spaces.
The Seaside EVO ships will also be equipped with environmental technology, including exhaust gas cleaning technology; waste management and recycling systems and water treatment systems.
The event marked another milestone in MSC Cruises’ 10-year development plan for 17 additional new mega ships, four of which are under construction. MSC Seashore is the seventh of the ships to be built and will become the 19th ship the company has built since its inception in 2003.
Delivery of the second Seaside EVO ship follows in 2022.
