Norwegian Cruise Line’s next ship, Norwegian Aura, will launch on May 21, 2027 with a seven-day sailng from Trieste, Italy. It will feature the fleet’s most expansive thermal suite, with the Mandara Spa offering 15 wellness experiences, 11 of which will be new to NCL’s offering.
Among the new experiences is a sensory rain pool designed to simulate calm natural waters, tropical rainfall and a thunderstorm with lightning.
The thermal suite will also feature a snow cave, where powder snow covering the walls will provide a cold-therapy experience, as well as one that simulates standing beneath a waterfall.
Other additions include a foot spa, guided hot and cold plunges and a Blue Glow Suite, which uses blue light designed for post-travel recovery.
The wider spa facilities will include a pool, salt room, aromatic steam room, Finnish sauna, charcoal sauna, meditation lounge and Zen lounge. Guests will also have access to a salon, skin lab and 24 treatment rooms.
New dining venues
The ship will also introduce Tamara, a new Indian speciality restaurant serving dishes such as lamb biryani and short rib dosa.
Another new addition will be the Panorama Room, a complimentary dining venue that will combine LED displays and audio to create changing landscapes, artwork and scenic environments around guests as they dine.
Other dining venues will include Le Bistro, Sukhothai, Palomar, Onda and Cagney’s Steakhouse, with several venues receiving new designs or expanded spaces. The ship’s bars and lounges will also feature updated designs and increased seating.
Activity zone
Ocean Heights, the ship’s game and activity zone, will feature six slides, the Aura Ropes Course, Moon Climber obstacle course, a nine-hole mini-golf course and the Aura Midway carnival games area.
NCL will also debut overhanging cabanas overlooking the adults-only Vibe Beach Club.
The ship will spend the summer sailing from Miami on seven-day eastern Caribbean itineraries before operating western Caribbean sailings during the winter.
