Brussels Airlines now welcomes passengers travelling to sub-Saharan Africa to its long-haul business-class Sunrise Lounge in Brussels Airport.

The lounge has been completely redesigned to accommodate more seating, more comfortable napping and a larger variety of quality food and drinks.

The features that have been introduced to improve the lounge include:

  • A large buffet with a high-quality food range, including a bigger variety of hot meals.

  • A new Grohe Blue water fountain and a Coca-Cola soft drink dispenser to reduce plastic and can waste, as well as a beer tap providing Belgian beer.

  • Five nap boxes where guests with connecting flights may get some rest before continuing their journey.

  • Facilities for travellers to refresh themselves in shower suites with showers and restrooms designed by Grohe.

  • Seating capacity has been increased by 25%.

“We are delighted to offer our passengers travelling to Africa a very premium and homey lounge that caters for the needs of long-haul travellers,” said Brussels Airline CEO, Dorothea von Boxberg.

The lounge is equipped with natural oak wood furniture. It has a Smurf-themed game wall to entertain children.

The lounge is also equipped with a pharmacy vending machine.
