New editor for TNW

DEBBIE Badham will
become the new editor
of Travel News Weekly
and the online daily, eTNW.
The announcement,
which was made this
week by Now Media md,
Anton Marsh, comes after
a number of changes to
senior management. Current
editor, Natasha Schmidt,
has been appointed deputy
publisher for outbound travel
publications. She will take
over many of Kate Nathan’s
current functions on the
sales and marketing side of
the business. Meanwhile,
Kate has been appointed
to the Now Media board as
group sales director.
The appointments are
effective from January 1.
Debbie, who joined Now
Media in 2013, has worked
on TNW as features editor
as well as deputy editor for
sister publication, Travel
Buyer. She will be the eighth
editor since the publication
was launched almost 48
years ago.
Sue van Winsen, former
editor of Now Media’s
Tourism Update, rejoins the
company as a consulting
editor for Travel Buyer and
the daily online Travel &
Meetings Buyer.
