Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway – set high up on a cliff with a bird’s-eye view of the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in Limpopo’s Waterberg district – has completed an extensive refurbishment on its public areas as well as the eight suites.

The design was overseen by Group Interior Design Executive, Esley Georgiou, to maximise the breath-taking views from the lodge’s clifftop position overlooking the gorge and river below. “Sustainability is a core value at Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway. In this regard, a proudly South African approach was taken in ensuring that all of the elements were produced and sourced locally,” said ceo of Extraordinary Marketing, Cindy Sheedy Walker.

She said supporting SMME companies (which all have previously disadvantaged backgrounds) for the design elements, was of vital importance to the property. Furthermore, to ensure environmental sustainability, Environ paints – a water-based natural paint product that is dedicated to preserving the environment – were used, along with recycled materials wherever possible.

Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway is part of the Extraordinary Collection of Lodges and Hotels in Southern Africa. These destinations include a wide range from Cape Town to private concessions in the Kruger National Park through to the North West and Limpopo safari areas.
