Oneworld has also announced an expansion of the platform, allowing more customers to check in and receive boarding passes for connecting flights on one carrier’s app or website.
Iberia and Finnair will join the alliance’s digital platform.
The alliance has said that, in the coming days, Iberia will offer its customers the capability to check- in and receive boarding passes for connecting flights on Cathay Pacific and Qatar Airways, which are already linked to the platform, with customers of both airlines also being able to check in and receive boarding passes for connecting flights on Iberia.
Finnair will soon enable Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways, and now Iberia, to provide customers with connections operated by Finnair to receive e-boarding passes via the airlines’ apps or websites.
Oneworld said it was working on adding other digital services such as baggage tracking, full seat selection, including when payments are required, and the ability to pay for additional baggage.
