New Singapore hotel is a trendsetter
THE recently launched M Social Singapore in Robertson Quay is a vibrant lifestyle
hotel designed to appeal to the social aspirations of millennial travellers. The
293-room hotel was developed to provide quality service while being affordable
to the greatest number of people. Connectivity is a significant part of the hotel’s
proposition. Free WiFi, unlimited local and international calls are also on offer.
Protea Sea Point refurbs conference facilities
PROTEA Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Sea Point has opened its refurbished
conference facilities. During the work, the hotel increased the size of the
conference space, created open-plan communal spaces and added more work
stations. The largest conference room can seat up to 150 delegates. The ceilings
have also been raised to cater for events that need room for exhibition stands.
Cape Sun gets a new look
THE 367 rooms at Southern Sun Cape Sun have received a complete facelift and
most of the twin rooms have been converted to family rooms with two double beds.
There are now 226 family rooms, 121 king rooms, 16 suites and four presidential
suites. With the December holiday season approaching, the hotel plans to have
child-friendly activities, shuttles to the beach and Waterfront, and optional extras
such as tickets on Red Bus Tours.
BON Hotels enters Ethiopia
BON Hotels will open a new hotel in Addis Ababa in the first quarter of next year.
The 48-room hotel, which is 10 minutes from Addis Ababa Bole International
Airport, will feature meeting rooms and all-day dining and will focus on corporate,
leisure and conference travellers. Currently, BON has five properties in Nigeria and
is in the process of expanding its portfolio with nine more in Africa.
