Sun International launches Sunlux Collection
SUN International has launched the Sunlux ‘Golden Triangle’
Collection as its new international marketing campaign, to continue
to position its luxury five-star hotel properties under a single banner.
The group has three five-star establishments in a ‘Golden Triangle’
that links The Table Bay hotel in Cape Town, Sun City’s The Palace of
the Lost City and Zambia’s Royal Livingstone hotel.
Upgrade planned for Protea Hotel Fire & Ice
PROTEA Hotel Fire & Ice in Cape Town has scheduled a
refurbishment programme, commencing on June 1 to be completed
in September. Public areas on the ground floor – reception, bar,
restaurant, the decks and the lift lobby – will be refurbished. The
unisex public restrooms will also undergo renovation.
Dream of Zanzibar closes during May
DREAM of Zanzibar resort has closed for maintenance from
May 1-31. The scheduled management take-over by Emerald
Collection will take place at the same time. Guests booked
during May will be booked in at the five-star Hideaway of
Nungwi Resort and Spa at the same rates offered by Dream
of Zanzibar. Rebookings at Hideaway should be confirmed by
resending May booking confirmations at Dream of Zanzibar to
booking.dream@emerald-collection.com.
Southern Sun Maputo closes for refurbishment
SOUTHERN Sun Maputo has closed for refurbishment and is
expected to reopen on August 1. The project will include 111 new
guestrooms and the refurbishment of the existing 158 rooms and all
public areas. A 120-seat conference centre, two meeting rooms and
a new business centre will be added.
