Poland’s new airport, the Solidarity Transport Hub (STH), will be located between Warsaw and Łódź and is scheduled to be opened in 2027.
Following the construction of all runways, the airport will eventually serve up to 100 million people.
The airport will feature a transfer node covered by a transparent roof. Various means of transport will be integrated which will form a central hub where all the routes converge.
The entire structure will consist of six floors and the lowest floor will house railway platforms, allowing an integration of the rail and airport components of STH.
Additional levels will include an interchange floor for railway passengers, arrival and departure halls, business lounge and shops and restaurants.
The interior of STH will be divided into separate zones catering to leisure and business travellers.
