Providence Hospitality has welcomed Franschhoek Country House & Villas to its growing global portfolio of hotels and guest houses.

The hospitality management company has retained a strong footprint in South Africa’s Cape Winelands region, particularly in the luxury boutique sector.

The 25-room, five-star Franschhoek Country House & Villas has been operating as a family business for over 20 years in Franschhoek, South Africa’s food and wine capital.

The acclaimed in-house restaurant, Monneaux, overlooks Franschhoek Country House & Villa’s Provencal-style gardens and serves up an array of fine dining dishes paired with wines from the Franschhoek Valley and surrounds.

“We are very excited to bring this amazing Franschhoek boutique hotel icon into our growing quality portfolio and we look forward to being a part of its future growth story and success,” said Neil Hughes, Managing Director of Providence Hospitality South Africa.

Owner-manager of Franschhoek Country House & Villas, Juanita Snyman, said: “We are still who we are, just strengthening our house,” she explained.

Snyman said the hotel would continue to work closely with its travel trade partners, adding that the trade’s support had been a key contributor to the hotel’s ongoing success over the years.
