Over the next 12 months, Qatar Airways will launch flights to seven new destinations, resume 11 routes, and increase frequencies to 35 destinations.

The airline made the announcement on Tuesday, March 7, day one of ITB Berlin.

The new destinations are Chittagong, Bangladesh; Juba, South Sudan; Kinshasa, DRC; Lyon and Toulouse, France; Medan, Indonesia; and Trabzon, Turkey. Flights to Trabzon will kick off on June 16, followed by Lyon on July 3. Connections to Medan will be possible from January 15, 2024, and to Chittagong from March 11, 2024.

Dates for when the airline will serve Kinshasa, Juba, and Toulouse have yet to be confirmed.

The carrier will also resume flights to Beijing, China; Birmingham, UK; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Casablanca and Marrakech, Morocco; Davao, Philippines; Nice, France; Osaka and Tokyo, Japan; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE.

Notable flight frequency increases include London Heathrow (up from 42 weekly frequencies to 45), London Gatwick (from 7 to 14), Zurich (from 10 to 14), Vienna (from 10 to 14), Hong Kong (from 11 to 14), and Phuket (from 14 to 21).

In July, the airline will have already increased the number of flights operated by 21%, says Group CEO, Akbar Al Baker.

For now, Qatar Airways flies to more than 150 destinations worldwide, connecting through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport.
