Qatar increases Africa flights

From June 16, Qatar Airways will increase flights across Africa, including adding frequencies to its Cape Town and Durban routes.

Flights to Cape Town will increase from seven to 10 weekly flights, while flights on the Maputo-Durban route will increase from four to seven weekly flights.

Other increased frequencies include: 

  • Alexandria – from three weekly flights to seven
  • Cairo – from 28 weekly flights to 35
  • Dar es Salaam – from three weekly flights to seven
  • Lusaka-Harare –from five weekly flights to seven

The airline will also restart four weekly flights to Seychelles and two weekly flights to Kigali from June 16, and daily flights to Marrakesh from July 1.

Additionally, new flights to Port Sudan will begin from July 2, with three weekly frequencies.
