RMT suspends Heathrow Express strikes

FOLLOWING receipt of an improved offer from the company, rail union RMT announced today that strike action and action short of a strike on Heathrow Express scheduled for next week had been suspended to allow for a referendum ballot of members on the new proposals.

The strike, which was scheduled for June 26 and June 27, is now suspended and RMT members have been instructed to book on for shifts as normal on this date. The overtime ban that was due to commence on June 25 until June 28 is also suspended.
