The Cité de l’Espace centre in Toulouse, France, has launched a new immersive experience, LuneXplorer, which offers guests the lifelike feeling of travelling to the moon.

The spaceship chamber is identical to an actual spaceship, with four passengers per capsule and a centrifuge generator that mimics all the effects of accelerating into space, reports euronews.com.

The simulator was inspired by the NASA spaceship that will transport astronauts to the moon in 2026, following years of unmanned space exploration.

The experience is narrated and explained by veteran astronauts and NASA staff, who say the simulator portrays a true-to-life experience.
