Rome Airport gets AI assistant

Aeroporti di Roma has launched an AI-powered virtual assistant for passengers passing through Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.

The assistant, available through a WhatsApp chatbot and official website, provides real-time flight updates, guidance on airport services, as well as retail and service recommendations.

Other features include real-time parking lot availability, baggage tracking, security check bookings, lounge bookings, connection assistance, links to transportation providers, and a catalogue of airport restaurants and shops.

The app is available in Italian, English, Chinese and Russian.
