Ryanair to buy Malta Air

Ryanair Holdings, Europe’s largest airline group, has agreed to purchase Malta Air, a Maltese start-up airline, into which Ryanair will move and grow its Malta-based fleet of six B737 aircraft by the end of this month.

This will allow Ryanair to grow its access to North Africa from Malta.

Ryanair plans to brand its Malta-based fleet in Malta Air colours for summer 2020 and will fly the brand to over 60 destinations across Europe and North Africa.
