SA buyers still not leveraging benefits from big data

Despite a great deal of progress being made in terms of payment and reporting systems, corporates and government alike are not making effective use of the big data available to them through these tools to guide their managed travel programme.

This was a topic addressed during a GBTA Conference in October. Founder of Just Saying, Robyn Christie, said one of the weakest links in the supply chain was that we do not collaborate as far as data is concerned. Head of Diners Club Corporate Card for South Africa, Kevin Lomax also added that information and reconciliation are key aspects of any card programme.
