SAA opens new lounge

SAA has opened a new
lounge – VIA – in the
domestic departure area
of OR Tambo International
Airport, following months of
extensive refurbishment.
The lounge features more
space, a kids’ area, a rotating
art gallery showcasing South
African artists; runway views
and high-speed Internet.
Sylvain Bosc, SAA chief
commercial officer, said the
lounge had been named
VIA because it served
as a transition point for
passengers travelling
“via” the airport to their
destinations.
SAA business-class, Voyager
Lifetime Platinum, Platinum,
Gold and Silver members, SAA
Voyager/Nedbank Premium
Credit Card, Star Alliance Gold
members and Investec Private
Bank Account card holders
have access to the lounge.
Operating hours are 04h30
until 21h00 (weekdays) and
05h00-21h00 (weekends).
