FLIGHT Centre Associates
(FCA) South Africa, the
ITC division, has been the
most profitable independent
area in the world within the
Flight Centre Travel Group. The
announcement was made at
the the Flight Centre Global
Ball in Las Vegas in July.
“FCA SA had another recordbreaking year, achieving sales
in excess of R650 million in
the financial year 2018. This
division of FCTG, which is
only five years old, now has
125 ITCs within its stable.
Our forecasts estimate that
ITC numbers will grow to 160
within a year,” says FCTG md,
Middle East and Africa,
Andrew Stark.
The company aims to exceed
R1 billion in annual sales
within two years, which Andrew
estimates will make FCA the
market-leading independent
consortium in South Africa.
About 80% of FCAs have
been recruited from within the
FCTG group but brand leader,
Chantal Gouws, says she
has noticed a shift in recruits
during 2019, driven by word
of mouth. She expects that
approximately 40% of new
FCA recruits will come from
other consortiums.
FCA requires recruits to
have an operational industry
background, to have a
minimum of three years of
consulting experience within
the stable of a reputable
consortium and to have their
own client base.
“The real advantage of FCA
is the backing of our global
brand that clients can fall
back on. We offer a full ITC
offering and a simple start-up
package. FCAs have access to
our back-end and accounting
systems, as well as our
preferred partner rates,” says
Chantal.
SA’s FC Associates is tops!
