Royal Balloon Rwanda (RBR) has launched a hot-air balloon experience – a first for Rwanda’s adventure tourism activities.

In partnership with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and Akagera Management Company, RBR will offer the balloon experience in Akagera National Park, where it will operates two hot-air balloons that can accommodate between four and six guests. Flights climb to between 100 metres and 1 000 metres above the park.

Visitors can expect an exciting new perspective of Akagera’s beautiful and unique landscapes while contributing financially to the conservation of the park.

RBR is part of a tourism group that has been operating in the industry for more than 30 years. It operates hotels in Turkey and hot-air balloon activities in several parks in southern and East Africa.
