Indian low-cost carrier, SpiceJet, will add 46 domestic non-stop flights to its network.
The new flights will be introduced in phases from October 27.
The new flights include Rajkot, the airline’s 54th domestic destination, which will be serviced by a daily flight from Mumbai; and a Chennai-Durgapur UDAN service.
SpiceJet has introduced new flights on the Mumbai-Jodhpur, Bengaluru-Guwahati, Chennai-Jaipur, and Hyderabad-Aurangabad services, and has also added frequencies on existing routes, including the Bengaluru-Shirdi, Hyderabad-Bengaluru, Delhi-Ahmedabad and Kolkata-Chennai services.
The airline will deploy its Boeing 737 NG and Bombardier Q400 aircraft on all these routes.
The airline’s growth has been partly spurred by the demise of Jet Airways, which ceased operations in April.
