Star Alliance opens first lounge in Asia

Star Alliance has opened its first lounge in Asia at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) in Guangzhou, China.

Opened on November 21, the lounge is available to first- and business-class passengers, and Star Alliance Gold status customers on member airline flights departing from Terminal 1.

It is located in a dedicated space on the upper level of the existing CAN lounge in the Terminal 1 international area, close to the departure gates.

The lounge features an open layout and offers 750sqm of space, accommodating up to 100 guests.

It includes practical amenities, such as workstations, comfortable seating areas and shower facilities. There is also a 100sqm VIP room for groups or private business meetings, available upon request.

Guests can enjoy a range of food options, with light bites and regional cuisine served throughout the day. There is also a dedicated bar counter where travellers can enjoy drinks specially curated for the lounge.

Open around the clock, the lounge welcomes travellers with varying flight schedules.

Ten Star Alliance member airlines operate from Guangzhou – Air China, ANA, Asiana Airlines, EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines, EVA Air, Shenzhen Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and Turkish Airlines.
