Princess Cruises’ newest Sphere Class ship, Star Princess, has embarked on its inaugural 11-day Western Mediterranean roundtrip voyage from Barcelona.
The inaugural itinerary includes stops in Marseille, Rome, Naples, Sicily, Cartagena and Gibraltar.
After a second seven-day Mediterranean cruise, Star Princess will cross the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale for its first Caribbean season and official naming ceremony on November 6.
Following a course of winter and spring Caribbean itineraries, the ship will transit the Panama Canal to Seattle for a series of seven-day summer 2026 Alaska cruises.
Star Princess can host up to 4 300 guests across its portfolio of Sanctuary Collection suites, mini-suites and balcony staterooms.
The ship features 30 restaurant and bar venues, including an expanded O’Malley’s Irish Pub, featuring 32 additional seats, and Love by Britto speciality dining space, offering 20 additional seats.
The elevated Piazza on Star Princess offers panoramic views from a sphere of glass, offering the perfect spot to socialise, dine and enjoy a multitude of entertainment, including musical and theatrical experiences, vibrant parties and themed events and other performances.
Guests can also visit the two-storey Lotus Spa or stay active at the fitness centre, which features a pool and gym classes. The SkyDeck is equipped with a new sports court for pickleball and basketball, along with a jogging track, splash pad, and shaded lounge areas.
