SWISS upgrades fleet, adds frequencies

SWISS’s new flagship, the Boeing
777-300ER, will enter service in
the course of the coming 2015/16
European winter schedule.
The long-haul twinjet will be
deployed on services between
Zurich and New York from early
next year.
In response to rising demand,
SWISS will increase frequencies on
its Zurich routes to São Paulo and
Miami. From December, there will
be 10 weekly services to São Paulo
and 14 to Miami.
The airline will also increase
frequencies from Geneva to
Lisbon and Porto in Portugal,
and to Moscow and St Petersburg
in Russia.
SWISS will also offer services to
various destinations together with
sister carrier, Edelweiss. Edelweiss
will operate its first service to
Havana, Cuba, in the winter period.
Edelweiss’s European frequencies
will also be expanded to Palma
de Mallorca, Larnaca, Antalya and
Catania, Pristina and Skopje.
