Thailand confirms coronavirus cases

The Thailand Ministry of Public Health has confirmed 14 cases of coronavirus in the country, all of which originated from Wuhan.

Human-to-human transmission has not yet been reported in Thailand.

Health surveillance systems have been stepped up at the international points of entry, especially at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang International Airports in Bangkok. The screening now covers passengers and aircrew on all flights from China.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand advises international travellers who have travelled from affected areas in the last 14 days, to seek immediate medical advice and treatment if they experience respiratory symptoms.
