Thailand pushes for compulsory travel insurance

SHANGRI-LA
International Hotel
Management Limited
has appointed World
Leisure Holidays (WLH) as
the dedicated GSA for the
Southern African region,
effective June 1.
“We have been selling
Shangri-La for quite some
time now, so when it was
time to appoint a dedicated
GSA, it was a natural and
easy progression for us,”
says Ramesh Jeenarain,
md of WLH.
WLH was already the
exclusive distributor of
Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok
Resort & Spa before the
new appointment.
Ramesh says Roxanne
MacGregor, WLH’s key
account manager of ShangriLa,
would be communicating
all the new products on
offer to the local trade.
All the new Shangri-La
products will be available
for agents to book on
the GDS and on the WLH
website.
Agents can still earn
commission on bookings,
though the size of the
commission is dependent
on the platform they use.
Shangri-La currently
operates 95 hotels in 22
countries under the ShangriLa,
Hotel Kerry, Hotel Jen
and Traders brands
