Tourists are welcome in Japan

20 Oct 2022
Comments | 0

Japan has returned to pre-pandemic entry regulations for all arrivals since October 11, with independent travellers welcome again and no more mandatory quarantine on arrival.

However, unvaccinated travellers must still show negative PCR tests obtained within the 72 hours before arrival.

Earlier this month, the nation also rescinded the requirement for fully vaccinated arrivals to show negative pre-arrival PCR tests.

The daily entry cap is scrapped, along with the colour-coded country classification scheme.

Travellers no longer need to book trips through travel agencies in order to gain entry. Certificates from the Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System are also no longer required.
